2018 Royal Canadian Mint : Justice League 3D Coin

The Justice League 3D coin and trading card set was released by the Royal Canadian Mint in October 2018. Each 25-cent quarter is legal tender in Canada. The collection is printed in English and French.

The lenticular coin features two original Justice League illustrations by Canadian comic book artist Jason Fabok and colorist Brad Anderson The obverse features the royal effigy of Queen Elizabeth II designed by Susanna Blunt.

Each 3D coin package includes two Justice League trading cards illustrated by Fabok and Anderson. All six Justice League members are featured: Cyborg, Superman, Aquaman, The Flash, Batman, and Wonder Woman.

The 2018 Justice League quarters are minted from a cupronickel alloy. A similar coin and card collection was issued for the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film in 2016. The Royal Canadian Mint has issued silver and gold coins for Batman v Superman, Justice League, and various DC Comics characters.

The Justice League of America first appeared in The Brave and the Bold #28 (February–March 1960). The team was conceived by writer Gardner Fox, modeled after the Justice Society of America. The original Justice League roster included J'onn J'onzz, the Martian Manhunter.
