2021 Royal Mail : DC Collection
The DC Collection of commemorative
postage stamps and
postcards was issued by Royal Mail on September 17, 2021. The series is
comprised of two First Class stamp sheets featuring twelve Batman characters
and six Justice League members. Presentation Packs include both stamp sheets.
First Day Covers were issued in Justicetown, Carlisle.
The DC Collection stamps were illustrated by Jim Cheung and
colored by Laura Martin. The series was designed by Interabang and
lithographed by International Security Printers. Each stamp depicts a
silhouette of Queen Elizabeth II. Various stamps are printed with ink
highlights that fluoresce under UV light.
The Justice League miniature sheet features Superman and
Supergirl at the Hall of Justice. The Superman stamp measures 60 x 23 mm (2.36
x 0.92 inches).
The DC Collection Prestige Stamp Book cover features
illustrations from the 2017 Justice League: Rebirth Style Guide.
The characters were penciled by José Luis García-López and inked by Brett
Breeding
The Justice League stamp sheet measures 192 x 74 mm. The sheet
backs and First Day Covers feature additional style guide images by
García-López and Breeding. The character descriptions were written by Alan
Cowsill.
