Bandai Namco : DC Super Heroes Arcade Cards
DC Super Heroes is a card and coin-pusher arcade manufactured by
Andamiro and marketed by Bandai Namco. The game dispenses collectible trading
cards featuring DC Comics heroes and villains. Four different series have been
released; each 16-card series features the same roster.
Each box contains 150 rigid plastic cards. Each measures approximately
2.1 x 3.4 inches, smaller than a standard trading card. "Super Hero" and
"Super Villain" card backs feature biographical information. Team "Bonus" card
backs depict a DC Comics logo. Card backs may contain third-party aftermarket
stamps or barcodes. Various card backs have been observed with branding information from
regional distributors and arcade venues.
Series 1 of DC Super Heroes was released in
February 2017. The Harley Quinn images were penciled by José Luis
García-López and inked by Joe Rubinstein for the 2009–10
DC Comics Official Style Guide. The remaining character images in
Series 1 are from the 1982 DC Comics Style Guide penciled
by José Luis García-López and inked by Dick Giordano.
Superman appears on "Super Hero" card #002 and "Hero Bonus" card #008 in all
four series.
Series 2 was released on July 13, 2018. Series 2 cards feature
artwork from "The New 52" era of DC Comics. Series 2 character images are
from the 2012 Justice League Style Guide penciled by José
Luis García-López and inked by Brett Breeding.
