Mayfair Games : DC Heroes Role-Playing Game
DC Heroes role-playing game was first released by Mayfair
Games, Inc. in 1985. Greg Gorden served as the main game designer. The back of each card contains gameplay statistics and abilities. The 1987 edition of The Superman Sourcebook reference guide features a cover illustration by John Byrne. The Superman Sourcebook was authored by Steve Crow and Chris Mortika.
The 1st Edition of the game includes 30 character cards and 39 stand-up mini-cards. The Superman card image is from the 1982
DC Comics Style Guide. The artwork was penciled by José Luis
García-López and inked by Dick Giordano.
The 2nd Edition was released in 1989. The 2nd Edition includes 75 character cards and three blank
copyright cards.
The 3rd Edition was published in 1993. The 3rd Edition includes Doomsday and
characters from the "Reign of the Supermen!" story arc. No game cards were included with the 3rd Edition.
Brainiac is misspelled as "Braniac" in the 1st Edition.
