McDonald's MultiVersus Match-Ups were available in the United States from March 11 to April 1, 2024. Customers could alternatively select a book from the Little People, Big Dreams series. The Happy Meal toy promotion was also available at participating McDonald's locations in Australia, Canada, Europe, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa.

One of twelve different collectible tins were included with each Happy Meal purchase. The tin lids and bottoms feature 16 different characters from the MultiVersus roster. Each tin contains one of six different game packs. Each pack contains ten game cards or a six-piece puzzle, plus a sticker accessory card. The mini-cards can be used for a memory matching game.

MultiVersus is a free-to-play platform fighting game developed by Player First Games and published by Warner Bros. Entertainment, Inc. The game is scheduled for release on May 28, 2024. MultiVersus will be available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 consoles, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One consoles, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store) at launch.
