1968 Stora Popbildserien : TV68 Popbilder Type 5

The TV68 Popbilder series was released from 1966 to 1968 in Sweden. Stora Popbildserien (Large Pop Series) was issued in five different series, or Types. The cards are unnumbered and the back of each one is blank. The series is often mislabeled as a Dutch gum release. The text on the packaging and cards is printed in Swedish. The cards measure approximately 1.75 x 2.75 inches (4.45 x 7 cm), smaller than a standard size trading card. The cards are packaged in a die-cut envelope sealed with cellophane tape. Each pack contains 10 cards.
Superman (Stålmannen) is depicted on one card in the Type 5 series. The image is from the cover of Superman #191 dated November 1966. The original artwork was penciled by Curt Swan and inked by George Klein.
Superboy (Stålpojken) appears on one card in the Type 5 series. The image is from the cover of Superboy #132 dated September 1966. The original artwork was penciled by Curt Swan and inked by George Klein.
The packaging and format is similar to other Swedish trading card releases featuring Superman released in 1968 and 1977TV68 Popbilder cards do not contain any date, licensing information, or branding.  The Type 5 checklist is comprised of 38 color cards.
