1979 Cracker Jack Timbre Super Hero Stamps - Clark Kent

In 1979, Cracker Jack issued a 20-card collection of DC Super Hero Stamps, or timbré in French. The stamps were inserted into boxes of Cracker Jack products in North America. The mini-cards measure approximately 1.3 x 1.75 inches. Each stamp card is copyrighted 1970 by N.P.P., National Periodical Publications, Inc. The stamps are not numbered and the backs are blank.

The card images previously appeared in two collections from 1976: Official DC Stamp Album and The DC Super Hero Stamp Album from Pepsi. The Superman and Krypton images are originally from "The Origin of Superman!" published in The Amazing World of Superman (1973). The images were penciled by Curt Swan over layouts by Carmine Infantino and inked by Murphy Anderson.
