2013 Jersey Post : Man of Steel
On June 7, 2013, Jersey Post issued a series of six commemorative
postage stamps
featuring Henry Cavill as Superman in Man of Steel. Cavill was born on
May 5, 1983, in Saint Helier, Jersey. The island country is a Crown Dependency
located in the English Channel, and each stamp depicts a silhouette of Queen
Elizabeth II. The face values of each stamp range from 45–88 pence. The
miniature lenticular souvenir sheet has a face value of £3
(view animation).

The Man of Steel stamp series was designed by True North in Manchester,
England. Each stamp features a unique printing technique developed by Cartor
Security Printing in France. The series was distributed in ten-stamp souvenir
sheets and six-stamp lenticular presentation packs. Collector Packs include an
embossed folder that contains all six stamp sheets, the £3 lenticular sheet,
plus a 16-page booklet. First Day Cover envelopes feature all six stamp
designs.
Man of Steel was directed by Zack Snyder. The DECU film was released
by Warner Bros. Pictures on June 14, 2013. Henry Cavill returned as Kal-El
for the sequel
Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice
and Justice League. Additional scenes featuring Cavill are included
in the non-canonical director's cut, Zack Snyder's Justice League.
Cavill made a cameo appearance as Superman in the 2022 film
Black Adam. A computer-generated likeness of Cavill appears in the
2023 film The Flash.
