2024 Upper Deck : DC Super Heroes and Super Villains

DC Super Heroes and Super Villains trading cards are forthcoming from Upper Deck Entertainment and Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products. The partnership was officially announced on June 13, 2024. The inaugural DC Comics collection is scheduled to arrive in hobby stores and the e-Pack website in winter 2024. Planned releases include Fleer Ultra Superman, DC Annual, DC Masterpieces, DC Unbound, and SkyBox Metal Universe Batman.

Superman is featured on a limited preview card that was sold exclusively on the Upper Deck e-Pack website from June 13–20, 2024. Each e-Pack contained one preview card with short print foil color variations distributed in Red (1:25) and Blue (1:50). The preview card artwork reprints the cover of Action Comics #1000 (June 2018). The image was penciled by Jim Lee, inked Scott Williams, and colored by Alex Sinclair.

The back of the Upper Deck DC Preview card features Superman illustrations by Fred Ray, Jim Lee, Neal Adams, and Curt Swan.

Fleer/SkyBox previously distributed DC Comics and Superman trading cards from 1991–1997. The Fleer and SkyBox brands were acquired by The Upper Deck Company in 2005. Upper Deck licensed Marvel Comics characters from 2013–2024 before the trading card rights were acquired by Fanatics, Inc.
